As of my experience Solidworks is more friendly than the AutoCad Inventor for 3D modeling. But every 3D modeling softwares is similar to each other Solidworks,AutoCad Inventor,CATIA. Many industries use Soliworks rather than AUtocad. so my suggestion is to learn Solidworks rather than AutoCad Inventor.Later on time being you can understand AutoCad Inventor easily.
